This year’s LOOT: Mad About Jewelry event at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City once again showcased imaginative materials and cutting-edge jewelry design created by emerging and acclaimed jewelry artists.
This year I noted a design trend hailing the beauty of our feathered friends.
For example, this earring design in silver was inspired by the bird’s aerial view of treetops.
In addition, several interesting pieces utilized actual feathers, while others utilized recycled plastics:
